PARKING All patrons will enter through the Global Reach entrance. Once in gate, General Admission traffic will be directed to the left and Chalet Patron traffic will be directed to the right. From each parking lot, shuttles will be taken and dropped off at the Airsho Entrance. Vision Statement
HISTORY OF AMIGO AIRSHO The airsho began with the vision to develop the Amigo Airsho in 1981 with the foresight of founding members: Dick and Suzie Azar, Sandi Brown, Nathan Goldman, Jean Kahn, John McGuire, Alan Russell and Dario Toffenetti. Their dream was to create a fun way to bring the community together in celebration of all of the wonders of aviation. For 29 years, the Airsho has been paying homage to the men and women of the Armed Forces and education in the El Paso region on all aspects of air and space travel. ICAS CONVENTION The International Council of Air Shows held its first convention in 1967. Since then, the air show community has gathered year to exchange ideas, conduct business and begin the process of planning the upcoming air show season. This year, the ICAS Convention will be held in December at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. ICAS expects between 1,500 and 1,600 air show professionals to attend the 2011 ICAS Convention. |
