Vision Statement
HISTORY OF AMIGO AIRSHO The airsho began with the vision to develop the Amigo Airsho in 1981 with the foresight of founding members: Dick and Suzie Azar, Sandi Brown, Nathan Goldman, Jean Kahn, John McGuire, Alan Russell and Dario Toffenetti. Their dream was to create a fun way to bring the community together in celebration of all of the wonders of aviation. For 28 years, the Airsho has been paying homage to the men and women of the Armed Forces and education in the El Paso region on all aspects of air and space travel. From inception, the non-profit, 501 (3) C Amigo Airsho has soared because of the dedication of the volunteers. The 2010 Board of Directors are as follows: Board of Directors

"2010 is an exciting year for Amigo Airsho and I am honored and privileged to be elected to the helm of such a dedicated group and an event that's become a 29 year tradition for families of all ages," said President Guerra.
The Amigo Airsho shares a special and unique partnership with Ft. Bliss - as the only civilian/military airshow structured where the civilian entity leases the facility. The Airsho would not be possible without the unparalleled support provided by Ft. Bliss and Biggs Army Airfield - including the facility, equipment, manpower, static displays, leadership and input. We also benefit from tremendous support from Holloman Air Force Base - which provides the majority of the aircraft maintenance equipment for our show each year! A special thank you is also extended to the German Air Force stationed at Ft. Bliss who also generously share their assets for the entire community to enjoy during Airsho weekend.
